Meet the New Director of Finance

Dear Blue Hills Collaborative Members,

I am thrilled to join the administrative team for the parishes of this collaborative. It is particularly warming to me as I grew up in Hyde Park and was a member of Most Precious Blood parish. I went to the MPB school and BC High before heading off to college. Throughout my youth my church and parish were the center of our family life. CYO dances and bowling sustained me in my teens and gave me a place where I felt I belonged. It also forged friendships with people from St. Pius and St. Anne’s with whom I am connected still. I am forever grateful. As an adult, my wife and I returned to Hyde Park and started our family here (boy and girl twins – 5th generation Bostonians, I might add). I’m happy to say they were baptized at MPB before our work took us from the Boston area for twenty years. Now that my wife of 37 years, Ellen, and I have returned to the area, I am so happy to be able to apply my skills to help the Catholic community that was so instrumental in my development.

Professionally, I bring a variety of talent and experience from a career that has been focused on education across the government, higher ed, and nonprofit arenas. I was the regional director for a state agency for fifteen years; a university professor and program coordinator for twelve years; and the chief operating officer for two different nonprofit organizations since 2012. I bring a broad overview of program development with a strong understanding of the financial oversight for charitable missions to this collaborative. I am so pleased to apply this knowledge to your parish development.

I can be reached at the Blue Hills Collaborative, 20 Como Road, Readville, MA 02136; by telephone – 857-342-9500 ext. 12; or by email – jmanning@bluehillscollaborative.org

Again, thank you for this opportunity to serve you.

John P Manning, Ed. D
