Retired Priests: Special Collection

There are 604 priests now serving in the Archdiocese of Boston (only 380 are considered active, with 279 in a parish as a primary assignment). 220 of the 604 are senior priests (some still in ministry, some retired, and some disabled). Most of those are now over 75 years of age (including those who previously served in our three parishes). The collection at all the Christmas Masses throughout the Archdiocese of Boston is for the Retired Priests of the Archdiocese. We ask you to be generous as you remember these priests who have served our parishes over the past years.

We know that many of our parishioners plan ahead of time and their donations to the Church are part of their budget. There are some who may not give too much thought to their donations. We just want you to join us as we show our appreciation to the retired priests of the Archdiocese at the Christmas and Easter Masses. All proceeds will benefit their health needs; we ask that you consider a generous contribution by planning ahead of time to come prepared.

Thank you.
